A downloadable game

Where's the fun at?

Super-easy to play, hard to master!

This game might look like the simplest platformer imaginable at first sight.

But if you want to earn the precious gold medal each stage offers, you have to discover hidden shortcuts and master advanced techniques to shave off each and every millisecond of your best time!

Basic controls:

  • accelerate (right) : Wanderknecht moves forward automatically on his own. The longer you press right, the faster you go (indicated by the blue arrow indicator).
  • brake (left), duck (down): to avoid obstacles
  • jump (B) : the longer you press, the higher you jump. When hugging walls, you can wall-jump indefinitely.
  • slash (Y) : trigger once to slash enemies with your wandering bundle. Hold while in air to do a spin attack! You can also slash wooden boxes. Be careful, some enemies appear unfazed by your attacks and are invincible!
  • stomp (B, down): jump, then press down to do a powerful stomp attack that crushes both enemies and boxes.
  • Turbo (A): collect 4 T-Icons to fill up your red Turbo meter and activate with A: You'll blast through everything in sight at breakneck speed! The pink turbo arrows trigger the same upon touch.
  • pause (Start): When you need a break from the action. Also lets you retry the current stage immediately when you've made a mistake.
  • Ring bell (shoulder L/R): not really useful but hey: Safety first while riding your bicycle!

Advanced techniques:

  • Look everywhere for secret shortcuts! They might be hidden above you, below you, behind boxes...
  • Holding Y while in the air will let you do a continuous spin attack, bouncing off enemies that you hit. Some places are only reachable that way!
  • Try to keep accelerating on the ground as much as you can! Every jump, every slash will slow you down. Pro players like yourself even do a ducked jump to minimize their airtime every now and then!

I'm Viny from Satellaview+! You might've heard of us when we put up BS Dottie Flowers and Supercooked, so I'm wondering if we could put up Der Wanderknecht (Or maybe a BS version if possible)?

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I featured your game in the best SNES homebrew games of 2025

Thank you! ðŸ™‚

My pleasure :)

Nice, but very hectic game with smooth scrolling, which is otherwise only known from games like the "Sonic" series. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 05:17:11. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

After playing the fantastic Dottie games, this is a neat bonus afterwards!

Nice game ! do you have any plans to make shootem up games ?

Thank you! No plans at the moment, no. You could try asking https://itch.io/profile/kannagichan or https://x.com/commodorekulor. ;)

First, congratulations on coming back to the fold, and being willing to talk about it on a public forum.  Personally, I think it's pretty cool that you're trying to mix your faith with one of your passions.  If you're using your skills to promote your beliefs don't ever feel that it's a waste of time.  Looking forward to trying the game!

Hear hear from another brother. Well done, Goldlocke!

This is gorgeous work and a highlight of the competition. FWIW there's nothing wrong with a game being in dialogue with faith. Shin Megami Tensei games, for instance, involve lots of ideas from real-world religion and they're very popular.

I now played every entry of the SNES jam 2025 and this is my absolute favourite. Great game!!
